Ferienwohnung Glockenberg - Westphal

Small, charming apartments.

That panoramic-window view is unbeatable, and the sunsets in the evening are beautiful. We’ve been coming to the Harz Mountains with our child for years and love it. The apartment has everything we need and is modernly equipped. Altenau also makes a great base for all the excursions the Harz Mountains offer. We always enjoy coming back.

The view was fantastic, but we were very disappointed because the apartment didn’t seem to have been cleaned before we arrived. The floor was sticky throughout the living area, so we had to mop it, and the rug under the coffee table had crumbs and hair all over it. The bedroom was a windowless alcove off the living room, separated only by a curtain, and the children’s room was very small. We’d been looking forward to our first holiday as a family of three, so it’s a shame, but we won’t be coming back.

There’s a playground right in front of the building, and the bakery, thermal baths, and shops are all about a five-minute walk away. The simple, small apartment had enough room for four people and everything we needed. One star off because the whole complex looks quite dated.
