Appartement-Haus Schneevoigt

The bikes were good, and the rental agent was friendly and chatty, but we won’t rent from there again. We took e-bikes for two days and were charged €29 instead of the €23 advertised online. When we pointed that out, he said, “It says from €23,” which obviously wasn’t true. With no other rental shop nearby, we went ahead anyway. That felt like a rip-off, not customer-friendly at all. After reading the other reviews, we’re not surprised.

We stayed for the two booked days because we still had to pay, even though we were sick and couldn’t cancel, not even an hour after booking or when sudden illness came up. The bicycles had serious problems, including missing lights and broken brakes, yet we were still charged for the full period. The cleaning lady came and went as she pleased, even while we were in bed. When we politely raised concerns or suggested a compromise, the landlord reacted with extreme anger. Completely overpriced and absolutely not recommended.

I’m completely shocked by the owner. I only asked whether breakfast could perhaps be cancelled, and got a cancellation notice followed by a rude phone call telling me to find another hotel. It was just a question. Children weren’t welcome, either. I’ve never experienced anything like this, and my vacation is definitely ruined :-(

We had to cancel a week ahead because of a COVID case, so arriving was impossible, but the owners were extremely uncooperative. Their blatant disregard for guests during a time like that speaks volumes about the property. I sincerely hope they’re happy with the money we gave them. We’ll certainly never book there again.
