Room 5 was in the annex, and it was roomy and really clean. Everyone was friendly, especially the owner, who made breakfast. The food prices were hard to beat. It's a small hotel right by the main road, and we'd happily come back.

The hosts made us feel at home right away, and the Jensch family were incredibly kind. We ate well too, the food was generous and delicious, and the service was excellent. The hotel itself is simple and quiet, with a bit of charm, surrounded by lovely scenery. It’s tucked deep into the Hunsrück, a bit of a drive, but worth it. I’m originally from nearby, as we say around here. We had a wonderful time.

There’s outdoor seating, and they’re very welcoming to motorcyclists and cyclists coming along the adjacent Schinderhannes cycle path. The menu is small and serves typical fare. The salad comes from a refrigerated container, but they make it taste good. Beer is freshly tapped.

I’m into places like this, so the old but lovely building felt just right to me. It’s a quaint inn in a small village, with good food and a great breakfast.

The decor was less modern than my grandmother’s house. Breakfast is great, and the landlady is nice. The rest is probably best suited to experienced tradespeople.
