Breakfast and dinner were fine, but the stay had several problems. The beds in the hotel rooms were poor, and there were complaints about them. The next day, nothing had been done in the rooms: beds weren’t made and towels weren’t replaced. When we came back from visiting Zell at 5:00 PM, we were given keys and found that the three-person holiday home wasn’t available, though we had booked it. One person had to sleep in a room without amenities and use the toilet and shower at someone else’s house. We’d agreed to arrive at 2:00 PM, but the hotel was closed then. We called the owner, who didn’t arrive until 5:00 PM.

At 4:30 pm on Sunday, I found a locked door with no sign. A couple from Holland and someone driving a convertible were waiting outside too.

The food is delicious and the prices are fair. It’s a great country inn with friendly staff and a calm, understated feel. I’m always happy to come back!
