Alzey's historic sights and lively local spots were easy to explore from Hotel Am Schloss, thanks to its location near Alzey Castle. We really enjoyed our time there. The building and interiors have character, with carefully decorated rooms and a cosy, welcoming feel. Our room paired classic design with modern amenities and was a peaceful place to unwind. The hosts were especially helpful with our German. We don't speak it as our first language, but they spoke excellent English and put us at ease right away. The breakfast buffet had a good range of choices for different tastes, and the dining room added to the warm atmosphere. With the friendly hospitality and comfortable rooms, it made for a memorable stay. I’d recommend Hotel Am Schloss to anyone visiting Alzey, especially if language might be a concern.

The receptionist was lovely when I arrived, and I liked the hotel. But early in the morning, a man was talking loudly on the landing, and the cleaning staff knocked on my door while I was still asleep. This kind of thing happens often in Germany, but they should know not to disturb paying guests so early when checkout is still a few hours away. I had a long drive ahead and would have liked more rest.

The room was large and very nice, and the people were friendly. Breakfast was great and the price was good. The TV was a little small, but no big deal. I’ll stay again.

A characterful, stunning building, with comfortable rooms furnished in good taste. Free WiFi and parking, and a very high standard of breakfast included in the price. I’d recommend a visit.
