Hotel DAS STEIN

We only stayed a short time, but felt at home right away. The hotel is quiet and lovely, and the family rooms are comfortable. Everything was clean, the staff were welcoming, and breakfast had lots of delicious choices. We’ll definitely come back when we’re in Amerang again.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty to choose from and genuinely high-quality food, especially the buns and coffee. We’ll certainly book here again when we visit family nearby. We arrived late, and the service was so helpful and welcoming, a feeling I haven’t had in a long time. The place is beautiful, and our top-floor room and bathroom were modern and very clean. It did run a bit warm, though, and opening the windows let in road noise.

The staff at reception were kind and very helpful, and breakfast had a tasty range of choices. Our room was cozy and clean, with the hotel’s Bavarian character still present alongside its modern updates from the 2020 renovation. The courtyard and surrounding areas are nicely decorated and fit in well. There’s a free laundry room, or they can do laundry for an extra charge. Three parking areas are also free. For lunch or dinner, there are four nearby restaurants: wirth von amerang for Bavarian food, il borgo for Italian, Paladi palace for Indian, and a Greek restaurant. We found the dishes tasty and reasonably priced.

Even with just one night, we found the people lovely, the beds good, the bathrooms clean, and breakfast excellent. There’s a really nice atmosphere here. Amerang and the surrounding area looked like they had plenty to see, so I’d love to come back and spend more time. We were only passing through on the way to Munich airport, and I wish we hadn’t been in such a rush. Book more than one night if you can, this place deserves a proper stay.
