The staff are friendly and the restaurant is very good. I’ve stayed in practically all the rooms over the years, and for some reason nearly every toilet has the same issue: after a number two, it takes four or five flushes. If you’re not as OCD about that as I am, you’ll be fine.

That balcony view across the Rhine and valley was stunning, day or night. The room was clean, well equipped, with a good shower and plenty of lights and power points. Check-in was quick and friendly, and I found parking in front each night, though there were other options too. I arrived late on the first night and got a table in the restaurant with that same view. The food was top class, and the Koenig Pilsner on draft was perfect. Early starts meant I missed breakfast until my last morning, when I had the wide continental selection, juices, and coffee. A perfect choice for a long weekend at an event in Andernach. Highly recommended.
