Landhotel & Gasthof Forsthaus

The forest nearby makes this a lovely spot, especially if you're traveling with a dog. It's dog friendly and fairly priced, and the hosts were exceptionally friendly. We appreciated the sustainable approach, which felt thoughtful and genuine, and the breakfast was tasty, carefully made, and personal. You can hear the nearby road from some rooms, but we'd happily come back.

Breakfast was generous, with cold cuts and cheese, jams, juice, and lots of teas. Each day brought a little treat, like homemade porridge or quark with fruit puree, both delicious, and eggs were available too. Our room was spacious, clean, thoughtfully furnished, and had a great bed. Though the hotel is right by the road, we heard no traffic, and the forest view was wonderfully peaceful. The owners, Wärmesteins, welcomed us so warmly. Someone even carried our suitcase upstairs as a kind gesture, and the owner offered to drive us to an event. We were too tired after our excursion to go, but that offer was something special. We lacked nothing and would absolutely return. Dogs are warmly welcomed here, including by the resident dog. The owners are very friendly and make a delicious breakfast with care. The house is beautifully designed, with lovely rooms and a great location for hiking or exploring the Ore Mountains.

The room was spacious and clean, but the shower and toilet felt cramped and basic. We stayed for two nights, and neither the room nor bathroom was cleaned during that time. The place is right beside the road, so it was very noisy. Breakfast came as a nicely arranged platter of cold cuts, cheese, and assorted pastries, with egg dishes made fresh. Fine for a short stay.
