The mountain views from the balcony are lovely, especially at sunset and sunrise. This traditional hotel is mostly wood, and it's kept in good shape, with a real Bavarian feel. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s no fridge or coffee maker in the room, though there’s a kettle, cups, and tea bags in the hallway. The drink and snack machines downstairs came in handy too.

We were greeted warmly when we checked in, and the room was very spacious, with a balcony and a fantastic panoramic view of the Kampenwand mountain. The bathroom was nicely designed and perfectly adequate, with a large shower. Free parking was included, and we were very satisfied with our stay. I booked Hotel Edeltraud by phone shortly before the end of July and was surprised they had a room available in peak season. It cost a little more, but breakfast was only an extra €8 per person, incredibly cheap. Breakfast is served at the Gasthof Kampenwand, which belongs to the hotel and is 600 meters away.
