Hotel Schäfflerwirt

We were able to get in touch with the hotel easily to ask questions and prepare for our December 2025 stay. For five nights in Bavaria, we chose to stay outside Munich, and Hotel Gasthof Schäfflerwirt worked out great. Munchen OST station made it quick and easy to get into Munich or travel around the region. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Although the restaurant was fully booked, they still fed us. The rooms were great, clean, and well apportioned. Breakfast was really good, too. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!

The owners and staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, and breakfast was delicious. The recently renovated rooms are each designed differently and have plenty of character. The hotel is beautiful, with an authentic, welcoming Bavarian feel that made the stay special. It felt more like visiting family or close friends than staying at a hotel. We’ll definitely come back and strongly recommend it.

I wanted to try a local Bavarian hotel on this trip to Munich, and I’m glad I did. The room was spotlessly clean and had the amenities I needed, though I would have appreciated a kettle and some tea or coffee. Breakfast had a good range: continental cheeses and meats, cereals, juices, tea and coffee, eggs, and bacon. The hotel is very conveniently placed, just two minutes from a bus stop with service to Munich Messe in one direction and the airport in the other. I think they also serve dinner, but I always got back too late to try it. Maybe next time. Thanks for a pleasant stay :)

This was our second stay at Hotel - Gasthof Schäfflerwirt, and we enjoyed it again. It’s a good-value choice with tasty food and a cozy Bavarian atmosphere. Breakfasts are delicious, and the restaurant-bar is a nice place to unwind in the evening. The Löwenbräu draft beer was excellent at €4.30 for half a liter. We had a premium triple room this time. It was a little small and had no air conditioning, fridge, or safe, but still felt comfortable, especially at €250 a night for three people. The location is convenient, with free parking and a 15-20 minute drive to Munich city center. REWE and several restaurants and bars in town are within walking distance. If you prefer public transport, the city center takes about 45-50 minutes to reach.
