Best Western Hotel Augusta

The breakfast and staff service really stood out. One staff member went out of her way to open the breakfast room a little earlier than usual so I wouldn’t miss the breakfast I’d paid for. The receptionists also made me feel right away that I was in a good place. The hotel is well located in the city, with all kinds of public transport within reach. My room was warm and the heater worked. There was some dust on the kettle, but I didn’t mind taking care of that. I had a good experience during my stay.

Everything was close enough to walk to, which made the location a real plus. My room was roomy, and the hotel was comfortable and very clean. The staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, though I would've liked stronger coffee, and the air conditioning in the room could've worked a little better. Pleasant stay for the price.

The windows let in enough outside noise to disturb the quiet, and the dark carpets without slippers made me wonder how well the room was being kept. The kettle was shockingly dirty, too. There was space for a fridge, but no fridge, and the otherwise spacious room felt sparsely furnished. The beds were very comfortable, though, and the location is hard to beat: City Hall, pedestrian streets, shops, restaurants, and supermarkets are all a short walk away. Parking takes some planning. The Augusta Parkhaus, which the hotel partners with, is closed on Sundays. Spaces outside the hotel cost €15 per day, while street parking is short-term only. Despite those drawbacks, the central location and comfortable rooms made it a decent choice for me.

The staff were so friendly, and the air conditioning worked great. It's an older hotel right in the heart of Augsburg. Breakfast was fair, and the beds felt a bit firm for me.
