A lovely stay in a friendly, affordable hotel. The owner was a really nice guy.

The quirky room themes are a nice touch, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I stay here regularly and know the owner by his first name. The hotel is close to the Altstadt, yet set away from busy roads, so it stays quiet. Nothing is too much trouble, and I’ll keep coming back.

The breakfast has a good spread, from rolls, meats, cheeses and eggs to cereal, tea, coffee and juice. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally nice, with a minibar, shower and bath, cable TV and free Wi-Fi. It’s on a quiet street, about two minutes from restaurants and seven minutes from the train station. Chris, the owner and manager, is friendly and provides outstanding service. It’s a ten-minute drive to Augsburg and about an hour from Munich airport. This is absolutely the best hotel in Friedberg, Germany, and I’d recommend it to anyone in the area.

Chris made us feel at home and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed, including towels, an iron and cold water. He also suggested places to eat, walks and running routes. His tips led us to a lovely lake just 2 KM away, a relaxing, family friendly spot where you can go wakeboarding. The hotel is in a shopping mall in the town center, right by the market square and a five-minute walk from the castle. We had a perfect weekend in Friedberg. Thanks, Chris! :)

The room was good and quiet, and had a refrigerator. Restaurants and the town center are an easy walk from the hotel.
