Ferienhof Tiergarten

We paid a lot for breakfast, but just before 11 AM they told us to leave because brunch was starting and we hadn’t paid for brunch. We hadn’t finished eating yet. It was a big disappointment. The hotel staff seemed inflexible and unfriendly. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially for a large family that can’t get up at 9 in the morning for breakfast.

The grounds are nicely looked after, with playgrounds and a little zoo with goats and deer. Breakfast was five-star quality, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Our room/apartment was large, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and all the usual amenities. It was a lovely place for a long weekend, and staying here was a wonderful experience.

This is a lovely spot for a holiday, tucked among nature and very welcoming for children. Our apartment had everything we needed for the kids, childproof furniture, a small slide, and table football. There are playgrounds for children of almost any age, plus lots of animals on the property. Deer live in an open pasture nearby. There’s a small lake to look at, though sadly it’s unclean and you can’t access it. Parking is right by the house, and they lent us a nice buggy when we asked. We were there during extremely hot, dry weather, and the lack of air-conditioning was tough. The apartment only has two windows and a balcony door that open, and keeping them open for fresh air, especially in the evening, let in bees, beetles, flies, and other unwanted visitors. In summer, it might be best to avoid the attic floors or bring a small cooler. There are train tracks along one side, which isn’t pleasant when the windows are open, though the lack of trains at night meant they didn’t bother us then. The food was great, the rooms were clean, and the staff friendly. It’s a nice place, especially for families.

There was lots of natural light, and the place itself was beautiful. The staff were very friendly, our drinks arrived quickly, and the food tasted five-star.
