Alte Schlosskurve Hotel & Restaurant

I've stayed here twice now, partly because the rooms are individual and the atmosphere is pleasant. Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The renovations didn't disrupt our stay.

At the moment, with the renovations going on, I wouldn't choose this hotel again. There are construction areas around, including in the stairwell. The cleaning also needs attention: cobwebs in the bathroom, dust on the dark furniture, and windows that clearly haven't been cleaned for a long time. It's too expensive for that. Rooms are offered without breakfast, and the breakfast costs extra and is too expensive as well. Is the location near the castle what accounts for the price?

We only visited the restaurant, and the service was professional and attentive. The food was genuinely delicious, and being able to order a smaller portion worked really well for us. We'd gladly return and would certainly recommend the place.

The server was very friendly and apologized to us several times, as well as to the people at the next table. That was the one good part of the meal. The onion soup was poor, with no real onion flavor, and the mixed grill was merely okay, nothing special. The cutlet wasn't anything special either, and the dipping sauces tasted ready-made. Our glasses had rims, too. For what we received, the prices felt completely unfair. What a shame.
