The landlord may come across as a bit brusque or unfriendly, depending on what you expect. Some people might not mind; others might. That was one reason for deducting a star. We were nine, and the kitchen felt too small for a group that size, so spreading out would be better. The place was fine for sleeping, and you can get around the area easily on foot or by car. The oven took a while to heat, the coffee machine was a bit scaled up, and one refrigerator didn't work.

I was there during the week with three colleagues from SENSUS Services GmbH Ludwigshafen. My apartment, 7A, was spacious and comfortable, and my colleague was very happy with 7B. The other two shared a double room upstairs. The owner could have been friendlier, which is why I gave four stars.

The building has a very refined atmosphere, and apartment No. 9 is spacious, well furnished, and has a balcony with a lovely view. But you can clearly hear the Rhine Valley Railway nearby. At night, I couldn't open the window in the back room because the freight trains passing by would have kept me awake. I also felt the staff could be friendlier, more helpful, and warmer.

From the moment we arrived, the place felt strange and uncomfortable. There wasn't even a “Good day,” just an immediate question about whether we had the money with us. We didn't get the holiday apartment we'd booked, and instead had to move into a cold, bunker-like apartment in winter. When we complained the next day that the heating was cold, the Wi-Fi was switched off right away. I've had a lot of bad experiences, but this topped them all. The staff were unbelievably unfriendly. 👎👎👎👎👎
