Haus Wijnen

We showed up earlier than planned, and the hotel management quickly arranged for us to get into the apartment. They don’t live in the building, but arrived within minutes so we could sort out the formalities. We’d booked two nights at Haus Wijnen in Bad Bentheim with our two grandchildren. The apartment was exceptionally clean and well furnished, and it met all our expectations. We were very pleased and would book here again if we return to this beautiful city. The swimming pool is wonderful, and there’s a good open-air theater too.

The rooms were spacious, lovely, and very quiet, and the price was right. There’s plenty of parking, with charging available for electric cars. I had to leave before sunrise, but checkout was easy: I just put the key in the mailbox. I stayed two days this time and will definitely return for a longer visit.

It’s a peaceful spot close to the historic castle, with beautiful, spacious rooms and all the amenities. The family rooms have two bedrooms and a private terrace, nice for unwinding on quiet evenings. The staff were very friendly.

The beds were really comfortable, and the rooms were lovely, with cooking facilities. The owners were helpful. I’d recommend staying here.
