AKZENT Hotel Berlin

The staff were excellent, and our breakfast was good value with plenty of choice. They always had a table reserved for us. There’s no lunch service and no bar, though drinks are available in the early evening. Our room felt a bit crowded with furniture, but the balcony was a good size and lovely to sit on. The toilet was very small. The hotel is on a quiet, level street, with on-street parking available. It’s about a five-minute walk through a park to town, and the park is well lit at night.

The staff looked after us well, and the food was tasty. Our room was clean and pleasant.

The friendly atmosphere stood out most to me. Every staff member was welcoming, and I can see why some guests have returned for years. I felt at ease here even as a solo traveler, and I really enjoyed my stay. I’ll definitely come back. The half-board was fresh, delicious, and varied, with a clear focus on quality. I also liked being able to make a sandwich for a small fee to take along on a bike ride. Parking for cars and bicycles is free and secure, though you need to reserve it. The family-run hotel is well maintained and centrally located, with thoughtful touches even in the little details. The iodine-salt thermal baths, spa gardens, pedestrian area, and lovely cycling paths are all easy to reach. The baths also make a holiday enjoyable whatever the weather.
