The rooms are huge, with a balcony or patio and a kitchenette, though we didn’t use the kitchen. The furnishings are a little dated but were in decent condition in our room. The bathroom could use an update too. It was very hot during our three-night stay, and there’s no air conditioning or screens on the balcony doors. Reception lent us a fan, which helped. The rooms are meant to be non-smoking, but people smoke on their balconies, so smoke drifted in whenever we left the door open. Breakfast was nice and included, and the staff were friendly. Reception closed at 6. We found several restaurants within easy walking distance. There was plenty of free outdoor parking when we visited, as well as paid garage parking. The hotel has lots of wellness services and is set up for people visiting Rottal Therme, but we didn’t use any of them.

There wasn’t really a spot outside the room to sit with a glass of wine, read, or meet friends, such as a lounge or library. The rooms are large enough for a small group, though. Our room had a fully equipped little kitchen and a very large balcony with a view over the landscape. The style is modern and practical, and the hotel has an apartment-hotel feel geared toward health resort guests. It sits on a hill overlooking the valley. Breakfast was good. Because of Covid, there was no buffet. We chose our items the night before and had them served at the table, which was relaxing. We didn’t have dinner. The thermal pool is within walking distance, but it and the hotel sauna and spa area were closed due to Covid.

A beautiful spot, with saunas and pools nearby to check out. The rooms were decent, service was great, and breakfast was good.

A disaster. Reception is locked at night, and nobody answered the buzzer or the phone number posted on the door. I had to find somewhere else to stay. I’d think twice before booking a Best Western again.

Good breakfast, and dogs are welcome. The hotel has big rooms and is in a nice spot, close to a few restaurants and bars.
