Badhotel Restaurant Stauferland

The setting is peaceful, relaxing, and comes with million-dollar views. Our room was clean and efficient, with a comfortable bed and a good shower, and it was very good value. Dinner was very good too: I had steak with a salad topped with fresh chanterelle mushrooms, while my friend chose calf’s liver. We’ll definitely be back.

The breakfast was a real standout, served in a lovely paneled restaurant. There were good eggs and bacon, excellent cold meats and cheeses, decent bread and pastries, yoghurt, muesli, and good coffee. The staff were friendly and efficient, and dogs are welcome. It’s a lovely spot, with alpine meadows and woods behind the hotel. My room was small but very comfortable and clean, with a good shower. A great value hotel a few kilometers from the autobahn, especially at the low-season price. One of the best I’ve stayed at.

The view and the whole neighborhood were fantastic. We also really liked the spa, pool, and relaxation area. Food was great, and beer on tap from a local brewery was a lovely touch. The place is cozy and very nice. The rooms are small, but I can’t think of any other inconvenience.

The reception staff could be more attentive and alert, though the restaurant staff were fine. The restaurant itself is a big plus, with a beautiful terrace, superb views, especially at sunset, and good food. Breakfast was good too. Some rooms have been renovated and others haven’t; there’s enough space. There’s also a small indoor pool. It’s handy for an overnight stop on the way to Italy, Austria, and elsewhere, but would be nice for a few days as well. We’ll definitely come back.
