The staff’s kindness and service were unlike anything I’ve experienced at another hotel. The rooms were tidy and comfortable, and breakfast was great. I had an incredible stay at Sonnenhalde. Highly recommend!

After nine hours in the car, it was great to find walking routes on the hillside right behind this lovely hotel. It sits at the edge of the village and is very handy for the Autobahn. I’d requested a top-floor room and got a very large, very nice one. It was spotlessly clean. There was a huge choice at breakfast, and the host was super helpful in suggesting somewhere for dinner. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant.

Excellent breakfast and perfect hotel rooms. A very nice hotel, and we’re keeping it on our list!

One of the best breakfasts I had on our three-week trip: loads of fresh fruit, eggs made fresh to order however you liked them, and plenty more. The owners gave us a warm welcome and were friendly and engaged. Our room and bathroom were spacious and very clean, with good mattresses and bedding, and it was very quiet. This small hotel was perfect for our stop while traveling through. We’ll definitely return!

This has become our favorite overnight stop on the way to Austria. Monika Fischer is a lovely lady. She spent some time working alone and handled everything from check-in through breakfast with cheer and professionalism. The staff are always welcoming and attentive, and the rooms and facilities are consistently spotless. Breakfast is absolutely fabulous. We’ll definitely keep staying here when we’re in the area. Highly recommended.
