We left the hotel about 15 minutes after checking in on 8/19/25 because the room was filthy, the furniture was outdated, and it had no air conditioning. With the windows and sliding glass door wide open, there were no screens to keep out the many flying insects. Even the desk fan we plugged in didn't work. We went straight to the front desk and said we were moving to another hotel. They told us to pay first and then get a refund through booking.com, so we paid in good faith. After countless emails and phone calls, the hotel still refuses to refund us. booking.com says it can't help unless the hotel agrees. Its cancellation policy said we could cancel until 6pm, and we checked in and out by 2pm. The room pictured isn't the room you'll get. You can't secure the room without being in a 90 degree room with no airflow. They lie about the refund policy. And booking.com doesn't have your back, the hotel gets to decide what happens under its cancellation policy. In America, if a hotel isn't clean, safe, and secure, you can leave after seeing the room without being forced to pay. Buyer beware!!!!!!

The room was spacious and very quiet, with a little balcony overlooking the gardens and park. It was clean and had all the facilities you'd expect, though the decor is quite dated. Check-in was straightforward, and the receptionist was pleasant and helpful. The hotel is right in the centre of Bad Durkheim, and there's a car park underneath for a fee. The way down is very steep, and you exit by the same route, but lifts take you from the car park to reception. A lovely, well-located hotel at a reasonable price. We'd definitely come back.

The restaurant made a great impression: we had both dinner and breakfast there, and the buffet food tasted fresh. We left full after each meal. The town is quaint, with walking paths for an afternoon stroll and plenty of spots for coffee, ice cream, or a meal. Our room was comfortable, even if it and the hotel feel like they haven't been updated in a long time. It worked out really well for our one-night stay in the area. I'd happily stop again to spend more time in this cute little town.

The pool was a lovely place to unwind, and the breakfast buffet had lots to choose from. We also had a beautiful view from the balcony, and the room was spotless. The soap smelled SO good! The staff, service, and facilities were excellent. We loved our stay at the Achat Hotel in Bad Dürkheim and would highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway.

The location is ideal, right in the centre with the park just behind and a beautiful church as you step outside. My little terrace looked out over the park, and the breakfast restaurant has the same peaceful view. The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. Everyone on staff was pleasant. The spa is modest, but it has enough for a relaxing visit: a sauna, pool, and infrared cabin. I really enjoyed my stay at Achat and recommend it! 👌
