The host was even nicer than the stay itself, which was already very nice. They knew plenty about the wine, and it tasted great, too!

We had to cancel a few days ago because of an important family matter. We were prepared to pay the cancellation fee, though it was quite overpriced, but the hotel owner immediately attacked us. He wasn’t friendly, and we definitely wouldn’t recommend him. We wish we’d checked the previous reviews first.

The landlord was really friendly and accommodating, and gave us tips for day trips. We don’t understand the reports saying he’s unfriendly at all. The location was great, and we could store our bikes. The price is right, too. We highly recommend it and will be back next year! 👍👍

Mr. Klein gave us useful ideas for bike rides, including places to stop for refreshments and find good wine. Breakfast was plentiful, and the owner was happy to accommodate individual requests. Our room was spacious and very clean, and parking was available outside the hotel or close by. We stayed at the Bettelhaus in May 2025 and were very satisfied. The price-performance ratio is perfect. It’s a fantastic, very stylish hotel for people on a budget, and I highly recommend it.

We came for the Lion Festival and got a friendly welcome. The rooms are simple, but perfectly fine and, above all, clean. That plain style gives the place a rustic Palatinate feel, and we’d come back. My girlfriend left an earring behind, and the host kindly mailed it to us.
