The breakfast basket was generous and put together just for me. I booked it, and it made the stay even nicer. The apartment is stylish and equipped to a high standard, with a roomy walk-in shower. Everything was spotless, and the hosts were warm and helpful. I’d happily return when I get the chance.

The eleven of us had a lovely autumn afternoon outside at the Schoppenstube for a birthday with friends. Service from the owner and waitresses was quick, attentive, and capable, and we enjoyed good Franconian wine, Kniekiechla and tiramisu cake. Everyone also got a complimentary schnapps. I had a dry, straightforward Silvaner with bratwurst. As a Franconian bratwurst fan, I asked Mr. May about the sausages. He said they came from the next village and even offered not to charge me if I didn’t like them. He was right about their quality. They were excellent, though I might have liked a little more marjoram. We’ll be back, we promise. Definitely recommend the Schoppenstube May!

The salad and cheese spaetzle were especially good. The food overall was very good, the staff friendly, and the prices reasonable. There was adequate social distancing, an automatic disinfectant dispenser by the entrance, and an automatic soap dispenser in the restrooms. Highly recommended.
