The location, facilities, and cleanliness were all great, and the room was spacious. It was a bit dated but did the job well, though the shower felt too small for my liking. The balcony views are in the pictures. At 160 a night in April, it was way too expensive, honestly. But that’s the world we live in.

For a business trip, the hotel met my needs: the room was clean, the view was spectacular, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of good options. I did find it strange that they didn’t have a thermometer when I asked for one after getting sick. I’d expect that to be one of the basics in a hotel first aid kit.

We had an excellent welcome when we checked in, and the room was large, clean, and quiet, with everything we needed, including an espresso machine. The bar was cosy, and the staff there were delightful. Breakfast was a gourmet paradise, with a great selection and plenty of food. Free parking and strong WiFi were included. We booked one night with a three-hour visit to Spa & health center Soliman Bad Duerrheim, pool only and no sauna. Highly recommended.

Each room has its own balcony, which is nice for enjoying the view, and nights are extremely peaceful. It is a bit out of reach, though. The lift only goes up to the fourth floor, not the fifth, so if you have a lot of luggage, I’d recommend booking on the fourth floor or lower.

The rooms are spacious and nice, and the staff were pleasant, but their responses felt robotic. They didn’t seem able to think outside the box or try anything, like talking to c3po. The bathroom is small and needs refurbishment, and the hotel in general does too. Breakfast was dull and absolutely not worth 10 euros.
