We came across this place while hiking nearby, and it turned out to be a great find. The Balkan meats were really tasty, the gnocchi was great, and the desserts were good too. I’d recommend it.

The interior gives the restaurant a lot of character and a fun feel, even if it can seem a little fussy. We had a lovely dinner at Adria, where there’s Croatian food alongside plenty of international choices. I liked the tomato soup and the plate of ćevapčići. Both were very tasty, though, as usual, the meal was quite heavy. I’d stick to one dish and at most one side.

The food came in generous portions and tasted delicious. Even with a busy restaurant, the wait staff were attentive. The main dining room is beautifully decorated, but without a reservation you may be seated in the less charming breakfast area. If the weather’s good, there’s also a gorgeous pavilion outside.

The waiter spoke English, and the menu has veggie-friendly choices. The food was high quality, and so was the service!

The free Slivovitz at the end was a nice touch, but I’m pretty sure it had been watered down. I’d expected more since it had been so long since I’d been to a Kroatian restaurant, back when they were called Balkan or Yugoslavian restaurants. The food was okay, though the pork was dry, and I hate that. Service wasn’t anything special either. I had to wait for someone to come into view.
