The pools and spa area were incredible, with five pools and a small lake surrounded by comfortable loungers and places to relax. They even had two baskets ready in our room for our spa visit. If you’re looking to unwind, this is a lovely place to do it. Dinner was a real highlight. The portions were small, but all seven dishes were delicious, so I’d definitely book a stay with meals. Breakfast was like breakfast at other hotels. Our bright room had enough space and a traditional German wood style. The only downside was no air conditioning. It was terribly hot at night, which bothered me a little. Housekeeping was excellent, and our requests were taken care of. The staff were very friendly and polite. When we arrived for our first weekend visit, they gave us a kind tour of the hotel and showed us around. I’m very pleased and will most likely return more than once.

We found Ortner’s Resort by chance on booking.com, and I’m glad we did. It’s a lovely 5star resort near the German-Austrian border, and we mainly came for the spa. The rooms are spacious and good, and they kindly gave us a free upgrade. Service was phenomenal from the start, and they made us feel at home. The spa facilities are very good, and since it’s a spa town there are other thermal baths nearby to explore. Definitely recommend it for a nice little getaway.

We spent a long weekend here in January and had an amazing stay. The property is beautifully designed, from the rooms to the pools. Staff in every role were warm, smiling, helpful and personal, and the food was at a very high standard. The price felt fair for that level of service. We were probably the only couple who didn’t speak German, but everyone still treated us with warmth. One request for EV drivers: please don’t leave them outside in the cold without electricity while barring them from the underground car park. It’s 2023, and most nearby facilities have already sorted this out.

The spa is huge and wonderful, and the place is fantastic overall. It’s nearly perfect, though there are still a few details to improve after receiving the 5 stars. Fresh orange juice at the buffet would be good, and perhaps a bellboy to help with luggage.

The spa and sauna were a real treat, and we enjoyed the food too. It was a comfortable, relaxing place to stay. Thanks for a lovely visit. We hope to come back.
