I gave it one star because the water served in a five-star hotel was over a month and a half past its expiry date. That makes a better rating unjustified, and I expect a five-star place to have proper quality management and at least working air conditioning. The hotel feels very dated. The rooms are large and fairly clean, but there's no air conditioning, and the carpets badly need replacing. The corridors and staircases smell strongly of a nursing home. It is quite quiet, and the guests' average age is probably around 65 to 70.

Our room, 215, faced the pool, and the noise from opening to closing time was impossible to ignore. Housekeeping left the windows open, so mosquitoes and a spider came into the room. The buffet breakfast is heavy on meat spreads and isn't vegetarian friendly. Food choices at the hotel are very limited, so be prepared to go to bed hungry. The place itself was super clean, but the furniture was old and dated, and the dark atmosphere didn't feel welcoming or vibrant for golfers. It wasn't as Google described. Would I return? Nope!

A top 'Quellness' hotel in a well-known golfing area in Bavaria. It's a good area to visit.

Still a nice golf resort, though the rooms don't have air conditioning.
