The people running this hotel are wonderful, and the hotel is too.

The hotel has only recently changed hands and is still being developed. The owner is clearly trying hard to make each guest happy, which stood out to me. For a night with breakfast, it’s certainly a place I’d recommend. I can imagine it being lovely for a summer holiday once everything is finished, though right now it’s best not to expect too much.

We were told shortly before arriving in 2024 that heating problems meant we couldn't travel. Fortunately, we found another place at short notice. We booked again for April 2025, but several reviews now suggest the guesthouse may be closed. It isn't bookable at the moment, and the owner hasn't replied to emails or calls. There’s no information about this on the website, so I can only give one star. To avoid turning up to locked doors, we’ll cancel our booking. If the owner gets in touch, I’ll of course update this review.
