Hotel Gasthof Zur Post

The restaurant was a great surprise in the evenings, and breakfast was good too. The staff were friendly, though a little reserved. We didn't hear the trains at all; there was occasional noise from loud cars on the nearby viaduct, but overnight it was completely quiet. We stayed with our kids as part of a Legoland package. It's a fairly short drive away. The hotel was full on our first night, so the parking lot was packed, including with large trucks. Luckily, a local kindly pointed out that there may be a few spaces on the street up the hill, away from the station, if you're lucky. I'd recommend the place even if you're not going to Legoland.

We arrived late because of traffic, but after we called, they left our key in an outdoor locker, which worked perfectly. We booked a six-person room and a four-person room, and both were great. They were very clean, the service was nice, and we loved the themes. Breakfast was lovely too. I'd definitely come back.

The owner was really friendly, and the staff were great. It's a comfortable, family-friendly hotel, and the room was very clean. My only concern was an extra breakfast charge that wasn't included in the room price. They also charged what they called a children's milk-drinking fee, even though my kids hadn't had any milk. We hadn't paid this kind of charge at other hotels.

We were happy with our stay. The hotel is about 25 minutes from Legoland, and our room was clean with a newer bathroom. There's a restaurant with a children's play area, plus another play area inside. The hotel is close to a busy railway, so you can hear trains at night, and the decor has train pictures. The only downside was that there wasn't a fridge.
