The kitchen didn’t have enough crockery for four, so I ended up running the dishwasher every day even when it wasn’t full. The microwave was dirty, and there wasn’t a good place to dry wet swimwear. Bathroom storage was also limited, including space for clothes. Some outlets were coming out of the wall, the sink drain was broken and the windowsills were loose. There were no smoke detectors, and old cobwebs on the ceiling.

We had another lovely week in Bad Harzburg and felt at home. The beds were really comfortable.

We had everything we needed. There’s no heating in the living room, but there is a fireplace and the wood is free.

The accommodation was perfectly fine and clean, and the landlords were very nice.
