Great spot, comfortable rooms and the best breakfast buffet in Germany!

The location and staff were the best parts, especially Yelda and Axhi. The building has the area's typical style, but feels a bit past its best. There's no bar or restaurant, though breakfast was very good, and from the breakfast room's two-sided windows we could see some of the mountains. Motorcyclists: park in front of the main entrance and skip the fairly steep, loose-stone car park entrance. GS riders can ignore that tip. If we come back to the area, we'd look for somewhere a little more refined, even if it costs more.

The location was the only good part of our stay in August 2020. We were hoping for a nice little trip, and the hotel looked lovely. The price seemed high, but we decided to stay anyway. It didn't meet our expectations at all. Our bed was extremely low and very hard. Breakfast was poor, and by 9 am there was barely anything left. The room photos showed a balcony overlooking a nice river, but that was just marketing. We actually got a view of the parking lot. There was no luggage check, and the hotel suggested leaving our bags in the lobby by the entrance. The service was unpleasant, and the cleaning wasn't done properly, during COVID as well.

It feels homey and cozy, and the staff are friendly and well trained. The wifi could be better, and the place needs more signs. Without someone around to point the way, it's easy to get lost inside. Otherwise 👌🏽

The surroundings are lovely and very quiet, and the rooms are comfortable. Breakfast was hearty, and the location is great too. The receptionists didn't speak much English, but that wasn't much of a problem.
