Hotel Jägerhof

Plenty of parking made the business trip easy, and breakfast was great. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Everything went smoothly, and I’d definitely stay again.

We stopped here for a night on our way south, and it worked perfectly for that. It’s a quiet, good-value hotel near the highway. Breakfast was small but okay, though I’d have liked more kinds of bread.

The rooms are old, but they were very clean, and for the price we really had no complaints. I believe we stayed shortly after the change of owners. The mattresses have already been replaced and were all very good. We were very happy with the hotel.

The restaurant staff were extremely friendly and welcomed our child with open arms. The menu is small, but the Schnitzel was tasty. We didn’t eat breakfast there, though we saw the hotel staff at the baker across the street buying more Brötchen, so it seems they serve bakery Brötchen rather than frozen ones they just warm up. This is a dated, “old school” place, but that was fine since we weren’t expecting a modern hotel. The price for a 3 bedroom without breakfast was okay, below 100€, and much less than we could find anywhere else along our route within 1 hour of the area. We were breaking up a drive from south Germany to north Germany and stayed one night. Some of the bedding looked a bit yellow. I can understand why someone might think it was dirty, especially when it was right next to bright white bedding. There was also some mildew in the shower, which can happen. The three free bottles of water and 4 packages of Gummi candy were a nice touch.
