I wasn't sure about the walk from Landhaus Schenk into Hindelang village, but it turned out to be a comfortable distance and one I enjoyed. The owners were welcoming and friendly while still keeping things professional. Small touches, such as the honor system for drinks and the available washers and dryers, made the stay even better. They'd clearly thought about what guests need, and the place was clean throughout. The Bavarian decor with modern details was lovely, and the interior of my "Wohnung" and the shared areas looked stunning. The reviews and photos had caught my eye after my usual Hindelang options were unavailable for my holiday dates. I'm glad I took a chance. I can't say enough about the experience. It was the best place I've stayed during 40 years of booking visits to Hindelang.

The balcony looks out toward the mountains, and it's well placed for hiking and cycling. Inside, the apartment was quiet and beautiful, with lots of wood, lovely furnishings, and a nice bathroom. We felt at home straight away.

We thought the house was lovely and in a beautiful spot. The Hirschbach stream runs right past it, so in the mornings you can think it's raining.

The Allgäu breakfast package was a lovely way to start the holiday, and the country house was well equipped. Every day began with a stunning view of the mountains. There are several moderately difficult hikes starting from the house, and other attractions are easy to reach by car if needed. We'd gladly return to Landhaus Schenk.
