Kurparkhotel Das Kleinod

The extensive breakfast had just about everything you could want. Our superior double room was very spacious, with comfortable beds, coffee and tea in the room, and excellent service. The bathroom was also roomy, though a little dated. Room 103 wasn't warm enough, which made it uncomfortable, so I can't give full marks. This family-run hotel is just by the old town, and parking is available right at the hotel for €7.00.

I became so ill on Boxing Day, the day we were due to arrive, that I'm only starting to feel better today. I called to ask whether, for a fee, we could move the reservation to a later date such as Easter, since we travel to Bad Kissingen often. The hotel refused, and also immediately turned down a goodwill request through Check24. We ended up paying the full cancellation fee. I understand they'd prepared for us and had costs, but that response felt needlessly unaccommodating. This was our first and last booking there, and fortunately Bad Kissingen has other places to stay. If I could, I'd give the service negative stars.

The price was absolutely reasonable, and parking was right in front of the hotel. Our room was very clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It's a lovely little hotel in a perfect spot for exploring Bad Kissingen.

We had no complaints, and the organization and booking were as requested. The hotel was fine, and we'd choose it again. It's best to reserve a parking space. One thing to know: the attached café closes at 6:00 PM, so there's nowhere there to sit and chat together in the evening.
