Pension Kreisel

I don't know much about the service, since we were looked after at the rehabilitation clinic a five-minute walk away. This was a guesthouse where we stayed during rehabilitation. The air was especially fresh, and the saltworks were also just five minutes away. There's something about the house itself that really ought to be mentioned: Käthe Kruse lived here with her children for many years, and her dolls were made in Bad Kösen during that time. Unfortunately, you wouldn't know that from looking at the building.

The room was spacious and the garden lovely, and the whole place was very clean. The staff were super friendly. Breakfast was decent too. We'd happily come back.

It was interesting to learn that this had been Käthe Krise's former home. My room was clean and fine, and the owner was friendly, but the top floor room under the roof felt cluttered and not very cozy. It was adequate for one night. No one was there to help me with my heavy suitcase when I arrived. Breakfast was okay. For the price, I didn't think it was good value, especially after hearing that another woman paid a reasonable price for the same room during the week.

Booking the guesthouse was straightforward, and the rooms are fine. Everyone was friendly, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was more than adequate, with the kind of variety you'd expect at a five-star hotel. Highly recommended.
