Mr. and Mrs. Tappert were very friendly and helpful, and the apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean and furnished with care. Even the welcome glass of sparkling wine and the little treat on the pillows were thoughtful touches. There’s a lockable place to store bicycles, and NETTO, with its bakery and butcher, is a five-minute walk away. The small toilet wasn’t really a problem, it’s easy enough to manage. Everything was just right. Highly recommended!

The location is good, and the landlady was helpful and easy to communicate with. But for the price, this apartment was a real disappointment and needs serious renovation. The heating didn’t seem adequate. There are night storage heaters in the living and dining areas, but only small electric heaters in the bedroom, which have to run all the time. The only duvets available for allergy sufferers were summer ones, not enough for winter. The apartment also smelled musty and moldy, and there was mold around the windows. The bathrooms were cramped. The first one had almost no room, a toilet that smelled of urine and felt unhygienic, and ventilation that didn’t work. Its only window faces the hallway and is permanently sealed. The second bathroom, with the shower, was tight too. After two short showers the water turned ice-cold, as the water heater couldn’t keep up. The mattresses were very thin and worn. The owner said they were last replaced in 2019. The second bedroom has only one single bed, so it won’t work for three adults. At just over €20 more, we could have stayed in a nearby hotel in town. A lower price might make more sense.

It’s about a 10-minute walk to the old town, with a supermarket and bakery only a few minutes away. The landlady is lovely, and the apartment is clean, nicely furnished and very well equipped.
