Arwilere

We stayed at the Arwilere apartment from April 26-30, 2025, and would happily return. The owners were lovely and friendly, and gave us great vacation tips. It’s a lovely base for exploring the Ahr Valley, with the old town just a short walk away. The apartment is a dream: spacious, modern, and very well equipped, with a comfortable bed and a big balcony. We could enjoy breakfast in the sun from 9:00 a.m., looking over the beautifully landscaped garden.

The Witzel family’s holiday home made our five days in the Ahr Valley even better. It’s perfectly located, fully equipped, and the hospitality is warm and welcoming. The huge balcony terrace overlooks a lovely garden full of birds. And it was so clean you could eat off the floor! After ten years in the Ahr Valley, we haven’t found anything better. A perfect 10.

We spent two and a half weeks here in August 2024 and had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The apartment is in a beautiful location, well maintained, and fitted with state-of-the-art amenities just as described. The friendly owners were always helpful and gave us good ideas for outings while we hiked and cycled. We especially enjoyed the Ahr Valley Cycle Path towards Sinzig on the Rhine and the mouth of the Ahr River, and the old town of Ahrweiler, with its good restaurants and delicious ice cream parlor. Tours through the vineyards around Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler are well worth doing, too. Definitely worth a visit.

The Witzel family are extremely friendly, and we felt comfortable here again just as we have on past visits. The apartment has everything you might need, with tasteful decor and a lovely balcony overlooking the carefully tended garden. It’s very quiet, with no traffic noise. Another wonderful stay on the Ahr, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.
