The waitress was very nice, but the lunch buffet was awful. I’ve rarely eaten so badly. The pork steak had a disgusting old-sow aftertaste, while the fish and vegetables had no flavor. One platter had a sign saying chicken breast, but what was on it clearly wasn’t chicken breast. By 1:30 pm, the potato dishes, like several others, were already dried out, and there was no soup left. I didn’t try the salad or dessert, so can’t comment on those. At €12.90, the buffet was completely overpriced for that quality.

The buffet wasn’t replenished, and some of the dishes were dirty. Service was very unfriendly, especially the manager mentioned earlier. There was little to choose from at either breakfast or lunch. The quality was disappointing and it didn’t taste good. Some food was cold, and the ice cream had already melted.

The food is top-notch, traditional and “African” dishes alike. I can’t say much about the hotel itself, but the restaurant feels very dated to me, like my grandmother’s time. Please modernize the place and advertise it. The restaurant would be busy again because the food is so good. I don’t mind whether the manager greets me, and I don’t need the chef to come to my table and ask if I enjoyed the meal. What matters to me is that everyone is friendly, smiles and sees to guests’ wishes. That’s always been my experience, and the food has always been excellent.
