Margarethenhof

There are a lot of construction sites around town at the moment, which is worth bearing in mind. We stayed with friends, one of whom uses a wheelchair, and they ran into a few obstacles. I'd recommend the place if you don't need wheelchair access.

The rooms were very tidy and clean, and some have been renovated. Breakfast was generous too. Best of all, Haus Margarethenhof is in a fantastic spot right beside the lovely spa park. Absolutely recommended.

The Margarethenhof is due to disappear soon, as the new Alea School building will be built here.

I stayed three nights in a single room for a short break. The rate was lower because my parents had already been there for a few days, and I was allowed to keep the room until evening. I'd had a car accident two days earlier and hurt my knee, so friends couldn't collect me and my car from Bad Orb until late. The room was clean and fine for a 3-star hotel, though the shower wasn't level-entry. Everyone was kind, from the cleaning team and breakfast staff to the owner. Breakfast was simple but filling, and I was very pleased with the stay and would return. I also appreciated that my parents were told before booking that a stag party would be staying in the apartments on the final evening. P.S. Not suitable for people with disabilities :-).
