Hotel Garni Café Räpple

The attached bakery has some delicious treats. Hotel Garni also made a good base for my family while we explored the Black Forest. It’s reasonably priced, clean, and the staff are friendly. Choose a “plus” room if you can, since it has a large living area with plenty of space to relax and play cards in the evening.

The place looks great, and the service was friendly. They cleaned the tables often and took good care of us. But the cake was really disappointing, very dry, as if it had been made days ago and left sitting out. Such a shame, especially since I’d expected more from it.

I was very happy during my stay of more than a week. Everything was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the owner and staff were all so helpful and friendly. The hotel has a cafe and laundry area inside, and it’s a complete package. The Church, Edeka Store, Rathaus, and Banhof are all within walking distance. Thank you, Mrs. and Mr. Ortmann. Till next time!

We came for the hiking and had plenty of trails just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. The Konus Card made bus and train travel around the Black Forest free, and with the nearby bahnhof we didn’t need a car at all. We stayed in an apartment for a week, from 29/08/2015 to 05/09/2015. The room exceeded our expectations, and breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly, there’s an Edeka food market very close by, and the hotel bakery and washer/dryer were real pluses. We also enjoyed the farmer's market in Offenburg. Thanks, Marco! We plan to return for another two weeks next May (2015).
