That evening, the food was a little too salty for us, and there weren’t many vegetarian choices. Still, the prices were fair, service was quick, and the staff were so warm and cheerful. The kindness we got mattered more to us than fancy food. We’d come to the village as tourists hoping to eat dinner on Saturday, not realizing there were very few options and we should have booked ahead. The restaurant across the street turned us away, and the supermarkets, bakery, and everything else were shut. We thought we’d have to go hungry. At first this place had no table for us either. But the waiter in charge that night told us to come back in an hour and said he’d work something out. I wasn’t sure, but when we returned he was glad to see us, and we were glad to get a meal. I’ll always be grateful to that incredibly kind staff member. Thank you, sir!

I’ve had dinner here twice, and both meals were very good with very reasonable prices. Each main comes with a complimentary salad from the salad bar. I can’t speak to the hotel facilities, since I only ate here.

The staff were really friendly, and the food and drinks were good. We stayed for a week, and it made a good starting point for hiking.
