We could walk to the main part of town in about 5-7 minutes, so we explored without a car. Breakfast was excellent, and the dining room had a mountain view too. Our third-floor room had a lovely view of the mountains, and the little kitchen had everything for quick, simple meals. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly. Check-in after 5 p.m. needs a bit of preparation. We arrived around 6:30 p.m., contacted the hotel beforehand, and they emailed instructions for getting the room key and checking in. No big deal. We'd definitely stay again.

The room itself was very nice and well appointed, but don't expect air conditioning. I stayed here on 06/19/2025. The website says the apartments have heating and cooling, and Google says every room has air conditioning. That isn't true. The in-room instructions explain that the unit circulates air rather than cooling it. When we arrived, the room was around 85 Degrees F, so we set what we thought was the thermostat to 19 Degrees C. After dinner, when we returned around 9:45, it was still blazing hot. It's just a weak circulation fan. If you're traveling alone, you may need to sleep with the doors open to have any chance of cooler air. I almost never leave reviews unless I've had a really good experience, but I think they should remove the air conditioning claim from their advertising. Be very cautious.

The room was modern and clean, and breakfast was great with a view. The place is centrally located on a hill, and drinks are available around the clock. It's not a hotel with 24-hour reception, so let them know if you'll arrive after 5 p.m. I took off a star because dogs were in the breakfast room, and there were also lots of police in heavy body armor with weapons openly displayed.

The service at breakfast was spot on. Tables were cleared quickly, and the waitress was lovely, helpful, and friendly. The hotel itself is excellent, one of the best Bad Reichenhall has to offer right now, and seems to be one of the town's best-kept secrets. Breakfast may only be for hotel guests, but opening it to others on weekends could work well. People in Bad Reichenhall are always looking for a Sekt Früstück, and this spread would probably be popular, especially in summer with outdoor seating. The breakfast deserves special praise. The pastry chef is the hotel's secret weapon: tiny pastries that look beautiful and taste fantastic, good enough for a top five-star hotel. The bread is divine too. The rest is excellent as well, with delicious quality cold cuts, little pots of Obatzda and Schweine Schmalz, jams, fruit, cream cheeses, and fresh crisp cereal with dairy and non-dairy milk. The hot food includes wonderful Speck, scrambled eggs, and Leberkäse. The small sausages, though, taste bland and don't look appealing. Nürnberger sausages would suit the high-quality buffet better. There's a wide choice of specialty teas, a high-quality coffee and hot chocolate machine, and fruit juices. And the breakfast? Wonderful!
