The landlord was friendly and gave us tips on where to eat well in Bad Reichenhall. We also liked that bringing pets wasn’t a problem, and the price felt very fair for the apartment. It’s small, with the kitchen, living room, and bedroom all together in one room; the bathroom and toilet are separate. The thermal baths are just a five-minute walk away, and the town center is no more than 15 minutes on foot. A large tree outside the balcony, with a view toward Predigtstuhl, blocked the worst of the heat. Even at 35 degrees Celsius outside, the apartment stayed bearable and we slept well. It’s a peaceful spot for relaxing.

We didn’t feel the price matched what we got. Sleeping, living, and cooking were all squeezed into one small room, and the furniture was a mismatched assortment. The room was under the roof and only reachable through a cluttered stairwell. In the bathroom, there were two mirrors at different heights above the toilet, one for children and one for adults. Then the landlord called at 7:00 AM to ask when we’d be leaving. It felt like we were being pushed out.

It’s a quiet place to stay and works perfectly well as a base for day trips. The furnishings are a little dated, but there’s everything you need.
