The price was really reasonable, and booking through the hotel’s website is what I’d recommend. I spent two nights here and had no complaints. The place is clean, the breakfast has plenty to choose from, and everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms and hotel are a little dated, but if I’m back in Bad Rothenfelde, I’ll book here again.

The family running the hotel are very welcoming and friendly. It’s made up of an annex and a historic villa: the annex feels more practical, while the villa has some old-fashioned charm. The decor may not suit everyone, but the rooms and corridors are in excellent condition, with hardly any wear on the furniture, floors, or bathrooms. It’s clear that quality has mattered here.

Breakfast was delicious, and we really liked our room. Everyone was so friendly and took care of every request. It’s a lovely family-run hotel, and we’d happily recommend it and come back.

The owners run the place themselves and are very friendly, always glad to have a chat. They told us they’re over 80 and have been running the hotel for more than 40 years. There’s also a covered, cozy terrace outside and a beautifully kept garden.

The garden was a highlight. We sat out there with coffee, while Plinia eventually got tired and curled up in her bunk. It’s a quiet spot, with birds singing in the trees, and the beds were much more comfortable than in some other hotels. The hotel is lovely, though a bit dated, and it has a sauna.
