It’s in an offbeat spot, but still within walking distance of the centre. The atmosphere was quiet, the place was amazing, and the staff were cooperative and well mannered.

There’s lots of greenery around this peaceful place, and the staff were very welcoming. I had a really good experience here. Try a coffee or tea in the garden, it’s beautiful.

The bar was very nice and served good food, and the bathroom and shower were great. The room felt dated but was acceptable. My single bed had pillows that were too soft and thin, and there was no kettle or way to make a drink in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful, and most spoke English, which helped a lot. Prices were reasonable and good value. We travelled as a party of five.

The breakfast was great, and the hotel was lovely during the day. My pillow was just a ball of air that deflated under my head, so it was quite uncomfortable. Bring your own. We arrived after 21:00 in this sleepy town, when everything was shut. The keys came from a machine outside, and we just made last orders at a local pizza place. We only wanted beer but had to buy a pizza to get it. Quirky with a capital Q, though I’d recommend it.

The hotel’s charging station has limited opening hours, and they couldn’t help me charge my EV for about an hour during the day. I wouldn’t recommend this service.
