We really enjoyed our five nights here. The staff were professional and friendly, the amenities were great, and with just 29 rooms the hotel had the feel of a family-run place. We were sorry to hear it would be closing on 11.09.22 for economic reasons, but wish everyone the very best for the future. If you're hoping to stay, book soon.

The cancellation and booking experience was awful. During the Corona period there was no emergency cancellation policy, the inbox wasn't being read, and communication was poor. The confirmation email didn't mention Corona at all, even though the website said it did. Read the terms and conditions carefully before confirming a booking. Update: The manager points to the cancellation rules, but they don't read or respond to their only email address, info@landhaus-alte-eichen.de. Somehow, though, it takes only a couple of days for them to send a cancellation fee letter with a "we're waiting you next time" appendix. That's simply beyond the pale!

A small boutique hotel right by the lake, well suited to wellness and relaxing. The main building has excellent rooms. The overflow rooms in the separate bungalow building are a little below that standard.

The room was spacious and very cosy, with air conditioning. Nice spot by the lake, and the restaurant was good with fair prices.

It's a very quiet place, and the restaurant has a lovely view. Breakfast was very good too.
