Wasserwerk Bad Saarow

The tower itself is beautiful, and it had been prepared and furnished nicely. But on a typical November day, it felt cold as soon as we arrived. We thought it might warm up as the temperature outside dropped, but it never did. With temperatures below zero outside, it reached only 15°C inside, even with the fireplace going and every available heater switched on. We brought our own wood for the fireplace. The windows don't close properly, seem to have been broken for a while, and let drafts through the whole tower. Cleanliness also fell short. The minibar was empty and had dead flies in it, there were dusty outlines where things had been sitting, and marks from wine glasses and other glasses on the upper floor. For this price, I'd expect more comfort and better cleaning. Even the clocks around the tower were several hours off, which made the lack of attention to detail obvious. As other reviewers have mentioned, none of the devices could connect to a mobile phone. The TV had no reception either, only a mirrored screen. These problems have apparently been reported repeatedly over a long period and still haven't been fixed. Breakfast was adequate. Would I recommend it? Not right now. If they sorted out these issues, then gladly, but it's a shame that nothing has been done despite them being raised for so long.

We felt right at home here. Everything was spotless, which is especially impressive with those high ceilings, and we had everything we needed. The breakfast was wonderful too. And with a view like that from the rooftop terrace, who needs a TV?

Staying in the tower is a real adventure, and a one-of-a-kind experience. Just be ready for all those stairs. You have to try it!

An unforgettable, out-of-the-ordinary experience. I highly recommend it. Thank you for such a lovely time ❤️
