Albrecht-Jäger Fewo

Finding an accessible place for my elderly in-laws for nearly three months, after water damage made their apartment unusable, felt like a stroke of luck. We happened upon Albrecht Jäger Holiday Apartments in Bad Sassendorf. The Jäger family looked after the seniors so kindly and were always ready to help. The apartment was clean and had what we needed, and anything missing was sorted out quickly. Its central spot near the shops, doctors, restaurants and spa park was a big advantage, especially since my father-in-law uses a wheelchair. Many thanks, we highly recommend them.

The host is so friendly, always greeting you with a smile and ready to see what you might need. The one-room apartment is cozy and clean, with a shower bathroom, kitchenette, dishes, essential appliances, wardrobe, TV, Wi-Fi and radio.

After a few calls to find somewhere, I ended up with a wonderful room in Bad Sassendorf. I’d gone to visit my friend during rehab and had first planned to head home early, but then decided to stay overnight. The clinic had given me a brochure of places to stay. This quiet little town seems busy all year, and I can see why: friendly people and a lovely sense of harmony. The room had a kitchenette and modern shower, plus cookware, cutlery, a fridge with freezer, toaster, kettle, Wi-Fi and TV. I paid €180 for four days. I also picked up T-shirts, underwear, toothpaste and a toothbrush at the REWE supermarket around the corner. It felt like having my own spa break until yesterday evening. If I come back to Bad Sassendorf, I’ll happily stay there again straight away.

Apartment No. 8 was neat and clean, but the old-fashioned furnishings were a letdown, especially the beds, which were absolutely unacceptable. The landlord was around so constantly that we felt watched.
