Apartmenthaus Luise

The north-facing apartment had what we needed and was very clean, with modern appliances, though the furnishings felt quite basic. It's well placed for getting to the hiking area, and there's free parking on site plus good WiFi.

The large balcony had a great view, and the apartment had everything we needed.

There was plenty of room for two on our balcony, and the kitchen was so well equipped that we didn't lack a thing. Our place was also easy to get around from: Bad Schandau center is a 10-minute walk, the bus stop is right outside, and driving around was straightforward. The free parking spaces are right outside the building. The bathroom drain gave off a truly unbearable smell. We kept the door shut to contain it and aired the room all day, but it was almost unbearable in the bathroom itself. I don't know whether every apartment in the complex has this issue or if we just got unlucky. Apart from that, we had no complaints. If they fix the smell, we'd gladly come back.

The photos of the landscape in the apartment were nice, but I don't think the place is good value for the price. The house has no outdoor lighting, so in the dark you have to feel your way up the stairs or bring a flashlight. The stairwell smells musty, and the apartment is noisy with very cheap IKEA furniture. The bed is in the living room, so anyone who likes a warm room at night may have an issue. One mattress is quite worn. The internet is only mediocre, and the TV reception keeps cutting out or doesn't work at all. The shower door won't close properly, and the kitchen drawers don't either.
