Bad Shandau is a lovely little town, and the surrounding area is beautiful to explore. Our apartment was very clean, tidy, and well equipped, and the host was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Everything was within walking distance from this centrally located house, and the guest cards meant we could leave the car parked. We stayed in the "Lilienstein" apartment, which worked perfectly well for the three of us. It was clean, had a lovely atmosphere, and we were warmly welcomed. No complaints at all. The location made getting around easy. Hiking trails start right outside, and bus, ferry, and train stops are nearby. Toskana Therme spa is across the street, and shops, restaurants, the tourist information office, and a few charming boutiques are an easy walk away. We stayed in the Hercules Columns apartment. It was spotless and furnished in a modern, attractive style, with everything we needed in the kitchen. The fireplace was especially welcome on cold winter evenings.
